Story
My mum was diagnosed 2 years ago with Dementia! Since then, she has been on a rapid decline and her anxiety and worry have been very upsetting. She has got both Alzheimer and vascular dementia. These are terrible diseases and have changed my mum so much. She has become a shell of her former self. On top of that, my mum is classed as blind, so she cannot even watch TV.
I want to raise people's awareness of this terrible disease, which is one of, if not the biggest, disease in the country.
There are 209,600 new cases of dementia in the UK each year. Worldwide, around 50 million people are currently estimated to have dementia and there are 10 million new cases each year. Two third of people with dementia are women and over 600,000 women in the UK are now living with dementia.

They need Admiral Nurses, who are nurses with experience in dementia care who work collaboratively with families and with other dementia care providers, sharing their expertise and giving them the support and skills needed. There is a massive shortage of Admiral nurses in the UK and, by sponsoring me, you would help to fund the Charity of the year.
I am riding it with 4 other Triathletes and hope to do 140 mile and complete it in 7 days = 1000miles . We will travel light and carry just essential clothes and stop in B&B. Thank you so much.
