Story
My long-term colleague and friend, Martin Hudson, continues to be cared for with kindness and professionalism by staff at Swansea’s Singleton Hospital during his ongoing illness.
Martin and his family are also being met with sensitivity and support by Golau Cancer Foundation during this difficult time.
I, and a number of my Morgan Hemp colleagues, are keen to do what we can to show our appreciation for Golau, so we have already taken on the physical challenges of the Swansea Half Marathon and now we are gearing up to compete in the Swansea Bay 10k too.
Martin had hoped to run the Admiral 10k as part of the Morgan Hemp team. But, unfortunately he has been told that his tumour is inoperable, so he is now undergoing chemotherapy and is unable to take part.
The whole Morgan Hemp team will be thinking of Martin and his family on the day of the Swansea Bay 10k – and I know this will help to spur us on. For some of us, this will be our first time in trainers for many years, so please support our efforts if you can!
Many thanks
David Phillips
