Last year on my birthday I was having a break from alcohol. Rather than people buying me a beer, I asked them to donate some money to Winston's Wish.

Winston's Wish are an incredible charity that help children get through the devastating experience of losing a parent.

Unfortunately I became aware of this because they helped some very dear friends of ours who have suffered this unimaginable heartache.

I was absolutely overwhelmed by the response and felt rather embarrassed, as I didn't feel I'd done much to deserve such amazing generosity.

I decided I needed to up my game and raise money by doing a challenge that would really push me to the limits.

So I have decided to take part in the London to Brighton challenge - running 62 miles over two days.

I think this is going to break me. However having seen what our friends have been through, and how they gave kept on going, has made me realise nothing is impossible.

So please dig deep and help raise £600 but hopefully a lot more.
