A Bit about me.....

At the start of  2018 I was at 21stone after years of bad diet, too much drinking etc then in May 2018  I decided I needed to change the way my life was going I joined a local Slimming world group with a friend and with a bit of education/guidance and with support from my Wife I have managed to lose at present (Feb 2019) just short of 5 stone.

This has resulted in not only a new wardrobe but also a new found love of running which was a passion of my late Dad, for years I would watch the London Marathon and find it very emotional thinking about all the times my dad ran it, I remember thinking I would love to do it  but I'm too old and too unfit to ever do it. this has now changed and as stepping stone to hopefully one day doing the London Marathon I thought I would embark on the challenge of doing the Blenheim Half Marathon at the same time raising money for the British Heart Foundation having lost my Father to a heart attack in  2002  I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
