Story
I started Couch to 5k on 31st December 2018. At that time, I couldn't run 50m. Since then, I have completed 43 official Parkruns (and one without my barcode! #don'tforgetyourbarcode)
I've completed 3 other timed 5k events & 3 10k timed events... OK 2.8, as I can't read directions! And capped it with a triathlon in October!
My driving ambition has been weight loss and improvement in health and will continue to be. To keep me on this path I decided that running a bit further might be a challenge, so here I am embarking on a training plan to complete the marathon. At the time of writing this I have completed 2 half marathon distances and am slowly increasing my distance as the weeks go on.
In doing this I thought that there must be a benefit for others , not just me, hence why I have chosen Rays of Sunshine to run for.The money I raise while taking on this challenge will help brighten up the lives of seriously ill children and their families across the UK, granting magical wishes like Stella’s wish to be a guide dog trainer, and providing ongoing support in hospitals and within the community.
