R.I.P DAVID SJ MEER      December 8th 2015    

So I have been away this winter teaching skiing and racing again after loosing dad at Christmas. This run will be such a special day for me and I will be thinking of dad in every stride and breath I take over the 26.2 miles around London. I will be also returning hopefully to do the Brutal Double Ironman in Wales. 

 I am back on track for training in preparation for the London Marathon in April 2016. This will mark a massive point of my journey so far and the beginning of the next chapter. 2015 took me to Washington DC to run the USMC Marathon on behalf of the Parachute Regiment and in particular 4th Battalion the Parachute Regiment. 2016 I will be running the London Marathon, this will be my 20th Marathon and without a doubt the most memorable and special. At the end of May I will also be running the Edinburgh Marathon.

I am doing this because after battling for years with his health my wonderful and amazing Dad has sadly been diagnosed with the rare degenerative brain disease. He is now at Peace as he lost his battle on the 8th December surrounded by his family and loved ones.  There is No known cure!! but we can treat the illness the best we can through the work the charity do.
