Story
3 years and maybe 4 months ago my sister Fiona was diagnosed with an endocrine tumour in her pancreas whilst pregnant with that bundle of energy we call Teddy.
So the Tedster was born slightly early, (3 months early!)
Subsequently Fiona, Danny, Teddy and the rest of the Martin/McGrath/Kearney family have had to cope with some extremely challenging and at times immensely difficult times, (surgeries, scans, procedures in Germany, operations that have not worked), but also some positive and rewarding situations that have made us all grateful of the lives we have and the opportunities we are given.
There still remains a long, tough but hopefully optimistic road ahead and I know that raising money for a worthy cause like this will help others who have been in Fiona's and our situation. Neuro Endocrine and pancreatic cancer research receives so little funding at the moment, so more funding will hopefully lead to a raised profile and more positive results in the future
A marathon seems like a small distance to run (and maybe gently jog/walk?!!) to help.
