Story
Ok, so here we go for my annual charity adventure/scrounge. As most of you know, I've raised money for a wide variety of causes over the years including Cancer Research UK, The Marina Dalglish Foundation, S.A.N.D.S, and the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal. These are all amazing charities.
This year I have chosen a charity that means a lot to me. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is listed amongst the top 10 most debilitating illnesses by the World Health Organisation in terms of loss of income and decreased quality of life, and is thought to affect 2-3% of the population. This number is tough to gauge as many still feel stigmatised to discuss their illness. OCD is a complex condition that can range from mildly annoying to completely debilitating.
OCD-UK is a charity which provides a wide range of support services for sufferers of OCD. I would appreciate any donations you can give to this worthwhile cause. In return, I will commit to running the 13.1 miles of the Edinburgh Half Marathon on May 23rd. Please let it all be downhill ..........
