Story
This May and June I'm taking parting in the Tour De Yorkshire and King of the Downs cycle sportives, partly for 'fun' but also to hopefully help raise a bit of money for the Southern Area Hospice Services in Northern Ireland in memory of my wonderful Auntie Mary who they
looked after last year.
Combined, the rides will cover just under 130 miles plus 3000m+ of climbing up and down the hills of Yorkshire and the North Downs. While I’m no Bradley Wiggins, I’m taking on these challenges as I love cycling and because I thought it would also be a great opportunity to raise for the hospice as they do not receive any funding except for charitable donations. We all unfortunately know someone close to us that has been affected by cancer, so if you would like to donate a little (or a lot!) it will all be going to a good cause and help the hospice continue the great work they do.
So thanks to you all and I apologise in advance if you have the misfortune of seeing me in my cycle shorts.
