Story
This year has been very challenging, caring for my wonderful dad who sadly passed away in March from a heart attack brought on by a variety of illnesses. I also lost my dear friend Mark, in May from cancer after a short battle.
I didn't have the heart to train for GNR this year, but on 30th June deadline from the charity I decided I had to give it a go, particularly in honour of my dad and Mark. Any training would be nothing compared to what they had to experience this year.
I would probably have chosen a more relevant charity in light of more recent events, but Pancreatic cancer still needs so much help.
I'd be grateful for any donations to help get me through the last couple of weeks of training and on the day itself. I'll keep this page open until end of October.
Thank you!

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
