Hi people.

Thanks for visiting this page. My aim is simple. I am leaving for India with Raleigh International on 13/02/2010. I am going to work on three different project phases, community, Adventure and environmental. This by all means is no holiday, it is going to be hard grit, but well worth it!! Thats why I need your help, to help others.

Kilimanjaro is the task. I will not be doing it with celebrities though! kilimanjaro is over 5840m high. I will climbing it on the Machame route, also known as the whiskey route, though the Shira plateau. It is quite a challenging route and pan to complete it in just over 7 days.

My challenge to climb Kilimanjaro will go to a worthy course. Raleigh is a registered charity, extra in formation can be found on these pages. 

Here is a little information on my chosen charity, and who I will be spending 13 weeks over in India!

I'm going over there in Febuary, to help make a difference in the less economically developed part of the world. I am hoping this will be a real 'life changing event', to put things into perspective, so i will be able to use what i have learnt into good use, as who knows what the future holds in store for me! 

As a charity, Raleigh raise funds to make our expeditions the best possible experience for the volunteers and the local communities. In this role, we act as a catalyst for change, bringing local communities together, sometimes for the first time as one team and giving them the resources and motivation to achieve sustainable development. To do this we work in partnership with local communities, non-governmental organisations and governments in the host countries.

Raleigh is not just about an expedition; it's about being part of a community of like-minded people. Ordinary people who want to do something extraordinary with their lives, make a difference in the world and new friends along the way.
