Story
In 1979 at the age of 7 my sister was diagnosed with Spina
bifida, facing being confined to a wheelchair within 12 months. The treatment
and care she received from Birmingham Children’s Hospital over the next 11 years, including 2 major operations,
at the start of her ongoing care programme, is enabling her to lead a fulfilling
life.
This year I have set myself a number of walking challenges to
raise funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital for this care and support we
received as a family.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, believe there’s always more they can do for sick kids and that’s why they will always strive to do more for their patients and families. It’s their mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use the hospital.Your support empowers them to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK. Your fundraising enables them to make the hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping them to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.
Please see below list of my planned challenges, I will be adding more and updating progress as the year goes on.
