Firstly I want to say a big for thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I grew up with my nan having type 1 diabetes and on many occasions having to force feed her bananas/biscuits and buttered bread to help her out of a hypo.

I didn’t appreciate how fatal diabetes could be as a disease until I learned that my friend Jon had passed away at the very young age of 31, with type 1 diabetes. .

I have chosen to raise money for this charity for this reason and help people like my nan who’s lived with diabetes for around 45 years and to also help prevent any more loss of life and the associated problems with diabetes such as blindness.
