Fundraising for Touchpoint
Story
This year, for my big 5 0!! I have decided to take part in a few different challenges. At least one challenge a month, for 12 months. This includes various 10K runs, a half marathon, triathlon, Nuclear race and a big 24 hour race! Two of which I have already completed for Jan and Feb - the Battersea 10K run and the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 10k.
Coming up next is the Cambridge Half Marathon on 5th March!
I hope you will sponsor me to raise much needed funds for a fantastic charity, which helps many local people. Even more so now, with the current cost of living crisis affecting so many people. Parents should not have to chose between heating their homes or giving their children a gift for Christmas. We would love to raise enough money to give everyone a fantastic Christmas in 2023!!
A message from Touch Point:
TouchPoint is a community organisation and registered charity with an aim of promoting well-being in the Stansted community. TouchPoint has a community café and regular community food shares, and also provides other services including a bereavement café, free hot meals for children, free breakfasts, and access to community laptops.
TouchPoint works closely with other local organisations such as Uttlesford Foodbank and support agencies to help us make sure that support reaches the families that most need it. In 2022 we raised funds to provide Christmas vouchers to children whose families were worried about making ends meet. We want to do this again in 2023 and are delighted that Dave is supporting us by doing 12 events in 12 months! Good luck, Dave!
