Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Its pretty obvious I want you to give me some of your money, so I can send it to the Leukaemia Research Charity, and I figured you wouldnt just give me your money, I had to do something to earn it!
So for a long time I wanted to do something worthwhile, something that made me push myself to achieve a personal goal to be proud of, a triathlon seemed a crazy thing to do, so thats what Im doing.
SO I decided to do a Triathlon in memory of my sister Sally (she died of Leukeamia, aged 5) and combine it with a contribution to Charity.
I can do a bungee jump, or throw myself out of a plane but it doesnt take commitment, determination and a whole lot of hard work!
and a triathlon is hard work, 12 weeks training with only 1 day off a week, swimming a mile, cycling 30k or running 5-7k on different days or even the same day does create the odd blister here (foot) and there (bum) but its worth it.
Check out, http://www.tattontriathlon.co.uk/ for more details.
Im doing a sprint triathlon which is 1/2 mile swim, 20k cycle and a 5k run, (back to back, one after the other!!!) and Im aiming to do it under 1hr 30mins.
Im not trying to make a difference to Cancer, thats ridiculous, Im trying help the people who can, and Id like to think that youll help me hit my target of £1000, I will appreciate it, but not as much as the unfortunate people hoping to get better.
Thanks for taking the time to read, and donate, and remember the date 10th September 2011, early morning, what will you be doing? Ill start by swimming in Tatton Park lake, if you fancy joining me, or watching at least, Ill be grateful of the support.
