Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 13th October I am running the Royal parks Half Marathon to raise money and awareness for Ovarian Cancer Action as it is a charity very close to my heart as Ovarian Cancer took my wife's mother and sister. Had there been better awareness at the time, it is possible they'd still be here today.

Ovarian Cancer Action is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity which is dedicated to improving the survival rates of women by funding innovative scientific research at their Ovarian Cancer Action Centre. Their scientists conduct research into preventing and reversing resistance to current treatments, stopping the spread of ovarian cancer cells and developing new targets drugs that are tailored to individual women.

The money raised, with your help, will ensure they can continue their work to increase the survival rates of women with ovarian cancer through awareness of symptoms, early detection and effective treatment.

Please dig deep to help me raise money for this super cause. It is greatly appreciated.

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.
