Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I work at the London Transport Museum were a colleague's boyfriend happens to be the world record holder for the quickest time getting around every tube stop in one day. This involves running between some stops... and I will only run when chased. He annually organises the challenge but with the added twist of not going for the record but going for the charity dollar. I said yes to going on the challenge. This involves getting to Heathrow at 4am and ending up in Amersham at around 1am the following morning. Combine the lack of toilets, spending most of the day in a train, in a tunnel and you have what I like to call Friday 10th April.
So, why am I doing it? Well, what a great story it will be at the end of it. What charity am I asking you to give towards: Alzheimers Society. Why? My nan suffered from the condition for 13 years and we had to watch as a family as it striped her back to being on the mental level of a child. It's a dibilitating, dignity stealing condition that needs a cure in this modern day and age. So... sponsor me round the tube and your hard cash could go to seeing that cure happen.
