On May 22nd, 2022 I will be running for the wonderful Home-Start Trafford, Salford and Wigan!

It's all about parents supporting parents. Parenting is hard enough at the best of times. When you face extra challenges on top of this like poverty, poor mental health, disabilities, domestic abuse and isolation to name but a few, it is even more challenging.

Home-Start is there to support and prevent crisis and family breakdown. It can make all the difference as this quote from their site shows:

“You gave me confidence, you made me a stronger person. You helped me smile again. You checked me and kids were ok all the time, I don’t know where I’d be without Home-Start. You’re a star, me and my kids will always keep this in our hearts, you will be missed from our heart, thank you so much.”

My wife was a volunteer for Home-Start, she now works for them full time and I have seen the difference that their support can provide and the difference it makes for the kids that are affected through no fault of their own.

What she, and Home-Start, does improves children's lives. That's why I am running - your kind donations will allow them to continue doing that.

So yes, IT'S FOR THE CHILDREN!!!
