Story
H.O.P.E. - Happy Outcomes Possible for Everyone - is my cycle for 2 charities – Mary’s Meals and Cancer Research. I’m planning to cycle the Wild Atlantic Way (2,100 kilometres over 15 days) in June. I hope to raise £12,200/€16,000.
Mary’s Meals provide a nutritious porridge meal for every child who goes to school in Malawi including in the school where I met Hope. For just about £14/€16 Mary’s Meals can feed a child for a school year. 50% of the money raised will go to Mary’s Meals to feed 500 children for a year.
The second charity is Cancer Research (Irish Cancer Society and Cancer Research UK). My parents and my late uncle delayed speaking to doctors about their conditions until too late. 50% of the funds raised will go to helping with lung, bowel and prostate cancers.
I’ll try to do my bit from June 3rd to June 18th. Please help bring H.O.P.E. to Malawi and to those battling cancer by donating £14 or equivalent in your currency (or any multiple) to my fundraising page.
I’ll be blogging as I progress through training and especially as I suffer through 15 days of cycling.
