Some 30 years ago I found myself supporting dedicated volunteers who were helping children out of Iran into safe places. These were mainly the children of parents who had been imprisoned, tortured and in many cases executed by the Iranian regime. There only .'crime' was to oppose the Iranian Government. 

Thirty years on, and the situation for children in Iran remains dire.. Poverty is commonplace and young children have to work to help support their families. Child brides are commonplace, even as young as 8 years old. 

Thousands of children still suffer psychological torture by having their parents unlawfully detained or executed for their activism.

This appeal is to help those children have the sort of lives we in Britain take for granted.
