Story

Hi folks

Ever since I first started cycling I have always wanted to complete the 'End to End' or so it's called, that's John 'O' Groats to Lands end (or vice versa).  It's a journey of about 900 miles on the shortest route but hey add a few miles and you have a more rounded figure, so 1000 miles it is.  This in itself is a challenge not  be taken lightly but imagine what it would be like with a disability or competing in any sport for that matter.  I consider myself fortunate to have been given the oportunity to realise a long time ambition and with the added incentive of trying to raise funds for our paralympics squad.  While I'm resting up after an average of 110 miles per day, food laid on, accommodation provided along with back up support for most incidents anyone with a disabilty would require far more support, dertermined by their condition. Some of our Paralympic athletes require serious medical care, imagine having to contend with dialysis one day while trying to get phsyched up for competing for your country the next.

Their efforts and commitment are only to be admired and I feel privileged to be attempting something of a dream and hopefully raising funds so they can achieve theirs.  I know, at times, during the ride I will have difficulties but when I think of the challenges a Paralympian has to overcome I know it will spur me on, give me that drive that they have to achieve the ultimate goal for me, a completed End to End for them Paralympic Gold.  With your generous support we may be able to achieve or even surpass the 42 gold medals from Beijing.

I would thank you in advance for any financial support you are able to give, anything you consider apropriate it all adds up at the end of the day.

regards

Dave
