Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My sister-in-law, Debra, is bravely battling non-self-induced and incurable lung cancer. She continues to be an inspiration to those who know her by her positive attitude, and by completing events such as her recent mammoth zip wire and next by completing a triathlon.

For some time I have been thinking of how to help her raise awareness and cash for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. I have discovered that lung cancer is widely misunderstood and somewhat tarnished by the connection to smoking. I've settled on walking from North Wales to South in ten days which equates to approximately 20 miles per day.

However, just to add a little spice to the mix I'm going to do it on stilts. To the best of my knowledge no-one has ever done this before for obvious reasons. The walk is going to happen next July and I will start two days after school finishes to allow for travel up to Anglesey.

My target is to raise £10,000 for the charity and if anyone can help in some way I would be grateful. This is a completely arbitrary sum so may be beyond the realms of possibility.

My training and journey are being recorded at: https://www.facebook.com/greatwelshstiltchallenge/
