We fund raise for brain tumour research to improve survival and understanding

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I did not imagine I would be taking on another End to End Challenge in my 68th year! But, I am, because supporting children affected by brain tumours, and their families is both essential and compelling. I also find the work the Sam White Legacy does in delivering support inspiring.

Childhood brain tumours have a devastating impact on families. So anything we can do to make a difference to the life chances of children affected, their quality of life, and that of their families, can be transformational. The funds we raise in completing this challenge will be invested to support earlier diagnosis, better care, and more respite opportunities.

Sadly Sam White lost his battle with the disease in 2013. His  parents, Pam and Mike, set up the Legacy to improve the chances of others.

So, I hope you will support me, knowing that anything you give will go in its entirety to the Sam White Legacy, and will make a real difference

When Sam was diagnosed with a brain tumour life changed forever, BOOM! Despite long treatments and disabilities Sam continued to live life to the full, soon realising how little was known about the tumours and life with one.Being Sam he set about changing that..and told us to continue without him xx
