Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been living with my brain tumour now for over 15 years and have been actively fighting it for the last 9 years. Unfortunately I have used up all currently available treatments, so now its time for me to TAKE SOMEACTION!! SO...
after a lousy 2013 where the treatments were tough and I lost 5 of my friends and patient colleagues to the fight I decided that 2014 IS GOING TO BE MY YEAR!!!... aS such my first challenge I set myself was to walk 1 million steps (using my Nordic walking poles) in 2014...
Update (lATE MARCH ),
following
positive progress I have Upped the challenge to 2million steps!!! - not sure why!!! - there are a lot of numbers between 1 and 2 million! Anyway, it gets me fit and keeps me fit and then helps me maintain a more healthy diet, leeds me to a more social environment, and consequently helps to keep my stress levels down. ... trust me it does! :-)

( addressing the 4 "Anti Cancer life-style recommendations according to "David Servan Screiber in his book "Anti Cancer.") Hopefully this, and my positive outlook on life will help me fight my cancer in my own right.

Meanwhile I really want to raise as much as possible for The Brain Tumour Charity as I can so that they can continue their fantastic innovative cancer cure research and development work, SO PLEASE DO PLEASE DONATE AS MUCH AS YOU FEEL YOU CAN AFFORD ON MY JUST GIVING PAGE

The Brain Tumour Charity are doing some great leading edge work in researching new ways to beat the disease and I want to help them with this research and raise as much money as I can.

2013 was not a great year for me,but 2014 is going to be! To start with, with your help, I am going to make my 50th into a real positive by raising as much money as possible to help the Brain Tumour Charity in their quest for a cure to my cancer. So please, where you can , dig deep and make a donation and give  not just me but all other brain tumour patients HOPE that the Brain Tumour Charity will find a 'killer treatment' (and every year they are getting closer!!) which will help beat our horrible disease.
