Friends, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Very basically, I'm riding the London to Brighton bike ride on the 16th of June for many reasons. 1) Because it'll be a laugh 2) to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, which will hopefully save lives and 3) In the memory of Peter Hughes.

Peter Hughes... where do I start? Peter was a huge part of my (and many others) life especially during my teenage years. He was loving, kind, gentle, caring, a bad ass rock 'n roller, extremely funny, a wonderful character and full of 'life'. He always painted a smile on your face and picked you up when you was down. He was one of our gang and an important figure in our lives. His glowing personality touched on everyone.

Sadly, he is no longer with us. On Monday the 24th of March 2013, he suffered a heart attack and on Tuesday the 25th of March 2013, he sadly passed away. To say that his passing has rocked the gang's, and many others, foundations is an understatement. He will be sorely missed. He has left his mark though, in all of our hearts and we thank you Pete for your wonderful friendship. I think I can speak for everyone to say that we all feel so proud and privileged to of known Peter and we thank him for all of the magical times and warm memories he has given to us.

Sadly, I can't save Peter, but hopefully I can follow in his kind ways and help to save others with heart problems.
