Story
I lost my Grandma to cancer and 2 years later lost my mum to cancer at the age of 14. Many years later, working with someone who lived in the same street as me as a child, he discovered his wife had Sarcoma. It had started with a painful shoulder and after much testing they found out it was Sarcoma. I saw the hurt, pain and devastation it caused leaving two young children without their mum. So here I am. I now Chair the Genomics Development Board for Sarcoma UK. We are raising money to better predict who might be more susceptible to Sarcoma, to better develop targeted treatment and save lives. Sarcoma is a rare cancer but current treatment is gruesome and only 50% successful. It hits the young particularly and so is particularly devastating.
Your support is particularly needed now.
Thank you for visiting my page.I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.Thank you for your support.
