After many tests over a period of about 12 months. My Dad, Fred Etherington was given a diagnosis for his lack of strength and dexterity in his Hands and Arms in June 2019. That diagnosis was Motor Neurone Disease. He continues his positive outlook and is thankful for his richly fulfilled life of 83 years so far. His famous sense of humour remains undiminished.

Motor Neurone Disease is a progressive, irreversible and fatal condition which attacks the Brain and Spinal Chord. It attacks the nerves which control movement so that muscles cannot work, whilst all other senses remain.  Eventually  MND sufferers are locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk, swallow or breathe.

As yet, there is no cure for MND, and 50% of sufferers die within 2 years of their diagnosis.

Please help me raise funding for the Motor Neurone Disease Association who carry out research into both causes and curing this terrible disease. They also provide much needed support and assistance to sufferers and their Families.

Many Thanks,  David
