Story
Here we go again! As most of you will know, last year I ran the London Marathon for this amazing charity and between us we raised £2510. I truly felt your support, it was a huge motivator and ill be forever grateful.
But...... There is more work to be done!!
Last years fundraising went towards a new sensory bathroom at my local Leonard Cheshire home- The Manor. I know how much this project means to everyone at the Manor and what a huge difference it'll make to all the residents. We made a massive jump towards the £11500 total with only £3000 left to achieve!
For the marathon I focused on Leonard Cheshire himself and the charity as a whole but this year I intend to introduce you to some of the amazing characters Ive got to know over the last 18 months. Its my intention to run each mile of the Cambridge 1/2 marathon (I know, only half, lazy sod!!) for a specific resident at the Manor. I will share their stories on Facebook in the build up to the race and introduce you to their world. Being amongst their positivity and personalities is a truly humbling experience, one which Id like you to see. Its impossible not to come away with a new sense of perspective.
If you have a penny or two to spare then I can absolutely guarantee it'll go to an incredible cause. If not, then please show your support by spreading the word. Either way, I am truly grateful.
I suppose Id better dust of my running shoes and start pounding the pavement! Thank you for your support folks x
