Story
It's been nearly five years since my Dad passed unexpectedly of cancer. Before he passed hospices were an unknown world, and if I'm honest, a little scary as they represent end of life care. Little did I know how important they are to local communities, the quality of care they provide, and how they enhance people's lives in their moments of most needs, both patients and families.
Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice is only a third funded by the NHS, with two thirds coming from donations and fundraising. Every £20 donated provides another hour of one to one care, so every donation really does count to the hospice and the families that use it.
Thank you for your support and donations - they will keep me digging deep as run my first, and most likely, last marathon!
