Story
On 22nd May 2010 I will be making a sponsored 10,000 ft freefall parachute jump on behalf of Havens Hospices and in memory of my father, David Dawson Snr, who passed away in November 2009.
Havens Hospices provides respite breaks, symptom control and end-of-life care for adults and children living with serious illnesses or conditions. It aims to make their journey - and that of the family - as comfortable as possible, creating special memories along the way.
The love and care provided by the Care Team in the homely surroundings at Fair Havens Hospice and Little Havens Children's Hospice is free of charge. This could not continue without kind donations as it costs £5.1 million each year to keep the hospices open.
I have set my target at £1000 which I hope to meet (and possibly exceed) by my jump date but this is reliant on one very important contributory factor.... YOU!!!
So come on people... Dig deep and give generously to a GREAT cause and one that is very close to my heart.
Thank you in advance,
David D
