Story
This Saturday (22 June) I am putting myself through some serious pain by riding in the CARE Etape Surrey with a team of colleagues from Smart Currency Exchange. This is a cycling charity event of 148km, which takes in part of the route used in the Olympic Road race and the 2012 Tour of Britain. The event starts in Putney, heading towards the south coast and includes the famous Box Hill climb which was such a challenge in the Olympics, before returning to south London later in the day.
The purpose of this gruelling event is to raise money for CARE International. CARE is one of the world’s top three aid agencies, fighting poverty and injustice in 87 countries around the world and helping vulnerable people to find routes out of poverty. They deliver long term programmes to fight poverty, and are always among the first to respond to emergencies. They are also one of the most efficient aid and development agencies, with 94 pence in every Pound raised going directly to our relief work, so your money would make a big difference. Please see this link for more information: http://www.careinternational.org.uk/.
To help the people of this world who are not as fortunate as us, I am asking you to donate towards this great cause by following the link below to my Just Giving page. The money raised will make a big difference to so many people around the world.
