Story
I am supporting Stoll by taking part in The Big Stamford
Bridge Sleep Out 2023.
For the last couple of Sleep Outs I have been exiled to my garden shed having been on 'Tales From The Shed' reading duties by the fire pit. It will be good to be back at the Bridge for this one, albeit a bit colder no doubt!
If you enjoyed the 'Tales From The Shed' readings, fear not, I'll still be doing them but as a pre-record this time.
Stoll is the leading supplier of supported housing to vulnerable and disabled veterans. Your donation is more important than ever as
the current cost-of-living crises is driving vulnerable Veterans into poverty. Rises in food and utility costs affects both Veterans in low paid work and those claiming benefits.
The pandemic caused financial hardship for Stoll’s Veterans as savings diminished and dealing with debt intensifies the complex
mental health conditions that so many of their Veterans experience. This is placing a huge demand on Stoll’s Support Team as more Veterans are reaching out for help.
Your donation will help Stoll to play a lead role in managing the impact of the crisis on their Veterans. The team help almost 300 Veterans with debt advice, support applying for benefits, referrals to specialist mental health services and access to a range of health and well being activities.
Stoll is such an appropriate charity for Chelsea supporters to support as they as right next to Chelsea's ground, Stamford Bridge and we are very proud to reach out to and help our neighbours and friends there.
Thank you.
