We did it!
Made it to Paris in 24 hrs, we were blessed with great weather even though it was hot we cycle lots in the night and early morning so relatively cool.
My enduring memory is the dawn coming up over the battle fields of the Somme really moving.

Its cycling 438 km (272 miles) leaving London at 12.00 BST am on Saturday 6th July and finishing in Paris on Sunday 7th at 13:00 CET (which is 24 hrs)
Keith Joseph (from Marlow) and me are doing the event as a team; both covering the full distance together.
We are running a prize draw for each whole £10.00 donated you will get a ticket for a bottle on vintage champagne Keith and I will buy in Paris!
Each ticket has a distance place and time so for example; KM 334 Froissy 07:20 is a ticket that puts us at kilometre 335 in Froissy at 07:20 in the morning. We will let you know your tickets when you donate; there are about 80 places we cycle through and so about 80 tickets.
It will be great motivation for Keith and me to have the names of friends and family for each of the towns we cycle through!
