Story
I need your help !!! Please read don't skip past !!!
In November 2014 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. I have been given the all clear and feel fitter and better than ever.
During the time I was recovering I read many stories and one thing I've learnt is that the kids deal with this situation really well. They have really been an inspiration for me during my journey. Harry Moseley, Jack Groom in particular, struggling with their own illness and always thinking of others. These guys are my heroes, nothing phased them, instead they just thought about others.
I also read of many stories both happy and sad, many involving the families, the loved ones of the Cancer patients. I felt the extent of this with my partner, we would talk of how the future could be. You see for me I knew how I felt, I always felt positive, however she could only watch and wonder. I genuinely feel it was harder for her.
So I have decided that Aged 50 I want to give something back, back to the people that try hard to make a difference to others. This year Harry Moseley would be 18 years old. To celebrate these milestones I am planning to run the Paris marathon in April this year for HHHO.
Please help us to continue to Help Harry Help Others and join us in this event. Join me real time celebrating my Birthday.
Can you help? Either by donating a small amount or doing a small event that will help us to raise money this year. I have lots of clever friends on here. Lots of friends that have many talents. Cake bakers, Craft Makers, Personal Trainers, Fellow Runners, Tradesmen / women and many more.
Please join us on this journey and help us to help others. Cancer is a cruel illness, I read and see first hand every day the effect it has on families. We have all been affected, You, Me, Our Families, Families of people I work with, or close friends. This is a great charity where you really see the benefits going to real people.
I feel very fortunate in my life not just in my health.
Our aim is to raise £2000 this year for help Harry help others. If you help me I promise to match your donation until we reach this target. It really means a lot to me.
My partner Tracy is also running this year she is doing the wolf runs (4 Runs). Please support us and together we can make a difference.
Please feel free to share this post. Thank you for reading.
