Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many people know I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2012 after a long and difficult period of doctor's and hospital appointments to pin point the disease. But what is it? everyone is the same but are slightly different.
I have found it extremely difficult not only finding employment but initially coming to terms with the condition which is progressive.
I am proud to be a member of the MS society Teesside branch, and although I now rely heavily on my partner with everyday tasks I really wanted to do something not only to raise the profile of the condition, but to talk to people and answer any of their questions and understanding of what MS really is.
I have been given the opportunity of raising the profile with an old school friend David Ellis's motor vehicle, who competes in the MSA British rally cross championship.
Competing throughout the country, not only has the social media levels of events increased. Their is now coverage on television (Channel 4, motors TV and Euro sport) with live coverage over the internet.
My aim is to change the livery on the vehicle to show the MS society logo, and have a presence at all future meetings, Thus raising the awareness, but also rectify many peoples misjudgement of the condition
If you can help me to do that I would be extremely grateful.
Thankyou
