Story
This year, I’m completing a two-part challenge to raise money for the NSPCC. It’s a charity I’ve supported regularly over many years and I’ll be attempting to ride 100 miles through London and the Surrey Hills on 29th July; followed by the Royal Parks half marathon on 14th October. Hopefully I’ll have recovered sufficiently by then!
Prior to the start of my training, I’d never ridden more than 30 miles in one go. Suffice to say that the training is v.hard and I’ve reached the conclusion that I’m not necessarily built for cycling! However, it’s for a fantastic cause and that has kept me going.
The NSPCC does some incredible work with children, particularly in the area of child abuse. In my view, giving children a stable, healthy and happy upbringing is one of society’s most important tasks.
Please give as much as you can and it will be put to excellent use.
