Story
What are you doing Dave?
I thought taking up triathlon would be a cheaper 'mid-life crisis' than buying a Harley. Turns out I was very wrong, and now having spent a small fortune it's time I did something with it. I'm taking part in 'Challenge Henley (www.challengehenley.com) in September which is an Iron Distance race of 3.8k swim, 180k bike and 42.2k run. I'm also doing the UK Half Ironman in June as a warm up... *gulp*
Seems a shame to put myself through all this effort and pain and not try and raise a few bob in the meantime. I've also met and become friends with an inspirational guy (and family) who have made me aware of MERU and the great work they do (see www.teamlaws.co.uk).
I'm no athlete by the way, this is going to be tough!
So what do you want Dave?
Well, money to be honest. As much or as little as you can spare. Every penny counts, every penny matters. It's not for me, I'm paying for this myself and you can donate safe in the knowledge you won't get saddles sores, blisters, rashes, sore knees, shin splints and much much more.
About the charity
Meru's vision is to see disabled children and young people and their families living life to their full potential.
They strive to achieve this by designing and manufacturing bespoke equipment to help young people achieve these aspirations
