Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm doing the London Marathon for the 3rd time next week , i've left it a bit late to start collecting money because like last year i've done no where near enough training , coupled with the fact that i haven't stopped drinking (as the above photo at last weekends Grand National shows ) means that i go into this years race very underprepared.
The plus side of this is that i can't go around boasting about how much training i've done and how i deserve ridiculous amounts of sponsorship money because quite frankly i don't.
What i am asking for is a small donation for what you can afford , be it £5 , £10 etc.
I'm just trying to raise a few quid for motor neurone disease as an ex-player from Hendon Rugby club called John Ryan who's family drink in my local pub The Shanakee in Colindale has being diagnosed with the disease at the age of just 44.
Its a worthwhile cause and given that i'll be out on my feet by about 18 miles you can take comfort from the fact i'll be in a right mess by the finish.
Hope this is a good enough reason for you to dig into your wallet or purse for a very worthwhile cause
All the best and we'll catch up soon
Cheers
Dave
