I am running the marathon for the Institute of Cancer Research because what they do is vital for defeating cancer. 

The discovery of cancer drugs and their facilities for radiotherapy, means they are world leaders in Cancer research. 

Cancer is unfortunately still a common disease and it affects a lot of people's lives. Most people know somebody who has had cancer, which is why the funding for the Institute of Cancer Research is so important. 

I am running the marathon because I have very close friends who have cancer. They have been battling it incredibly bravely with an unbelievable amount of strength.
