Fundraising for The Shooting Star Children's Hospice
Story
All,
I have voluntered/ been coercred into partaking in, to what I now know as a 'Sportive'. Which in effect is a bike ride amounting to the not insignificant distance of about 100 miles around the glorius Cheddar Gorge. Training has been steady with rides taking place early (7am) on Saturday mornings, consisting of me wheezing (thats right wheezing not whizzing) around the Hertfordshire country side trying to get a few miles under my belt. The geat event takes place on 11th September and has been tremendously well organised by the good people of Plexus Law. Whilst the emphasis is on 'fun' there is a charitable aspect and with this mind I am kindly asking if you can spare a few quid for what can only be described as a most worthwhile of causes which is The Shooting Stars charity, they look after terminally ill children (see link below).
I'll let you know the outcome, I understand there will be photographs to evidence my magnificent demise on the hills of Wiltshire, which I promise to circulate.
