Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

As some of you already know, I will be running the 2011 Virgin London Marathon in April. Yes, that's 26.2 miles of pure running - 26.1 miles longer than I used to run on average each week. That said, this is all for an awesome charity that deals with children born with visual impairments and I really want to do my bit to help them deal with such a major issue we are being faced with. I am running for MACS and you can visit their website here: http://www.macs.org.uk/

I am not a long distance runner. In fact, I have never run a marathon before - the only running I ever did prior to signing up for the marathon involved running to catch the train into uni! Fact. But, this has changed - I am so adamant I want to complete this marathon in 2011 - it is for a great cause and is one personal challenge I am really eager to conquer!

Training for this has begun. In fact it began in early November and I am getting there - slowly, but surely!  It is indeed very arduous as you would expect and I know I'm putting myself through a mentally and physically demanding task, so why not help me raise money for this charity and its causes by donating to my Just Giving Page. Anything you'd like to donate would be greatly appreciated! Seriously, anything. It will go a very very long way!

Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Just Giving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please, please, PLEASE dig deep and donate now.
