Story

On September 30th , seven members of the Claims leadership team and I will be embarking on the Northumberland 6 Peaks Challenge in support of The Trussell Trust, Newcastle’s current charity partner.

16 gruelling miles through the Cheviots, climbing and descending six of the areas largest peaks including the mega-steep Hedgehope Hill and the tallest of the lot, The Cheviot.

The work that the Trussell Trust do has never been more important.  Across the country, their annual figures from 2022 show that almost three million food parcels were given out – more than ever before -  over one million of those were provided for children.  There's an increasing number of people struggling to afford the essentials, with more than 760,000 people using a food bank in the Trussell Trust network for the first time – a 38% increase compared to the same period last year.

If you’re able to, we’d appreciate any donations that you’re able to chip

We’re an anti-poverty charity & community of food banks, working together to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank, while providing practical support for people left without enough money. (Please note we're unable to forward funds onto individual food banks, funds raised here go to Trussell)
