Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

18 months ago, I was diagnosed with Myeloma. Never having heard of the condition I was a bit shocked at first - particularly when you hear the word cancer and you’re told it’s incurable. So that was the bad news. The good news was that I am/was relatively young, in good health (apart from the Myeloma obvs.) and the doctors had found the issue out at a very early stage in the disease’s progression and I was now therefore on their radar. I’m luck in that, at this stage, I’m also asymptomatic which allows me to largely carry on my life as before. With that in mind, I’ve set about fundraising to help to generate some money for Myeloma research. This year I’m running the Great North Run - a 1/2 marathon - which will be the furthest I’ve ever run in my life. We’ll be doing some fundraising events along the way to help reach our target. Check out the links on the page for details of what we’re doing .

Thanks.
