Story
We are a family of 4 brothers and unfortunately Brian (3rd eldest) has Multiple Sclerosis (MS). For those of you who don’t know, ‘MS is a disease of the central nervous system (your brain and your spinal cord)’.
As you would expect, we all find it incredibly difficult to watch him fight a daily battle with such a progressive disease. It’s even more heartbreaking to see him have an unexpected attack - he has had two this year and after 10 years without one, it must be so frightening for him when the illness takes such a unforeseen turn.
Following Brian’s two attacks earlier this year Andrew (2nd eldest)
was asked would he fly back from Australia and run the London marathon with David (youngest) in support of our choosen MS charity.
As a family, we all feel helpless as we cant take the MS away from Brian to ease his burden. Running the London marathon is our way of showing Brian our love and support, as well as recognising the support, education and research the MS charity provides to people who also fight this disease and may not have such a loving, supportive network of people around them, that we are able to give to Brian.
Please help us support our choosen MS charity and our brother Brian and everyone else affected MS by sponsoring us, any amount makes a huge difference and is gratefully received. Please also note, we will be funding all of our own travel costs and all money raised will go straight to the charity .
