Story
On Sunday 4th March George, Tom, Jasper, Alexander and Elliot (and their mothers) will be doing the five mile Marsden March from Wimbledon to The Royal Marsden in Sutton in order to raise much needed funds to support the world leading work of The Royal Marsden.
Each of the boys has their own very important reason for walking as, with cancer due to affect one in two of us in their lifetimes, they all know someone who currently has or recently experienced cancer, who they will be celebrating or commemorating as they walk.
This is the first time the boys have taken on a sponsored walk and they would dearly like to raise as much money as possible so please do give generously to support them.
While for us mothers you may think a 5 mile walk isn't going to be much of a challenge, just ponder for a minute how many times, between them, 5 boys walking 5 miles through the streets of South London can ask "are we nearly there yet"?? Surely that has to also be worth a quid or two??!
Your generous donations will be put to great use by the incredible team of doctors, nurses and researchers at The Royal Marsden. Your support will help the tens of thousands of people they treat directly each year and those all over the world benefitting from the drugs they develop through their world leading drug development programme that will one day hopefully ensure no one has to die from cancer.
Thank you so much for your support,
George, Tom, Jasper, Alexander and Elliot (and Christine, Shiva, Anna, Antonia/Bones and Claire) xx
