Story

Thanks for coming to my page - hopefully, this means you already know I'm cycling from London to Paris and have decided to sponsor me and help me raise my target for this wonderful charity.

If you don't know much about Prisoners Of Conscience already, have a look at the website at www.prisonersofconscience.org.uk and you'll get an idea.

In short though, they do a number of wonderful things through the grants they award. Sometimes it's bringing families back together that have been separated for many years through persecution; money for medicines for torture survivors; re-education costs for innocent individuals who have been forced to leave their countries under fear of death and a whole lot more.

As a trustee of this charity, I have to authorise some of these cases and because of this unique perspective, I see first-hand how the charity helps people directly. The work they do really makes a difference and today, I want you to make a difference too.

Please give whatever you can - a tenner, a twenty, more if possible - and know that your money will absolutely and definitely, help towards changing a life significantly for the better.

About the charity

Established in 1962 as the relief arm of Amnesty International, we are a separate charity and the only UK agency providing practical and financial support specifically to prisoners of conscience, individuals who have been persecuted for protecting and advancing human rights.
