Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
This page is dedicated to Paul Graham who sadly lost his brave fight against cancer in November 2009. Having been treated in the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation his wife Ali, some friends and I decided that we would do various runs this year, culminating with the Great North Run on the 19th September 2010, raising as much as we can for the Foundation.
Since Launching this page my mother Margaret sadly passed away from the same deadly disease on the 21/5/2010, after having endured major surgery twice and having a lung removed. THE SADDEST DAY OF MY LIFE and another reason for me personally (Dave) to keep running, training and fundraising for this worthwhile cause.
We look forward to your support and welcome anyone to join us. Whether you have been touched by cancer yourself, directly or indirectly, it will change your life forever when it does! Think of those that are nearest and dearest to you. Wouldn't you want them to get the best possible treatment available? Please donate as much or as little as you can afford. You are not just donating, you are investing......... in research, treatment, more clinics and facilities and perhaps a spare bed in a treatment room for someone you love in their hour of need. Thanks in advance for your generosity. Dave
