Story
2012 we were told the words no parent ever wants to hear.. “I’m sorry there’s no heartbeat” . Our son Bumpy was born sleeping at 18 weeks, and we attended our first Saying Goodbye remembrance service in 2013. Saying Goodbye helped us so much we now want to help others by raising both vital funds and heightening awareness of the work and support available through the charity. This page was initially set up as husband David and friend Nicky took part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October 2019 to raise funds for Saying Goodbye, we have now extended the page to include all the fundraising events we take part in to share the support from the local community. Prior to this we have arranged Charity Balls(Snowballs) fundays, taking part in various sporting events, funruns, Active warriors challenges, zipwires and a Skydive. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and if you can afford it then anything you can donate will be very gratefully received On behalf of Saying Goodbye, a massive thank you to everyone for all your support
