We raise money to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Story

Hi Everybody,

I'm running the 2017 London Marathon in memory of Kim Mawby and for the amazing Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Kim, who sadly passed away in March 2015, was a very special person who I feel lucky enough to have known for several years, as her son Josh plays for the Lings Elite Football team that I manage

Kim was an inspiration to all those who knew her and hopefully by raising more money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity we can help many others in the future, something Kim always wanted to do.

I ran the St Alban's half marathon in June 2015 for the same reasons and ran in pink, as that was Kim's favourite colour and she attended many charity events in pink too. I hope that encouraged a few to donate an extra few pounds!

But....to ask again I thought I had to make the challenge much harder (and embarrassing), so I have decided to run in a pink tutu and include a few extra runs the distance of a half marathon or longer in the same outfit, 3 of which are on my own through the streets!....so here is my schedule:

Sat Feb 11th -
Nazeing to Haringey Borough FC via Wormley FC (13.1 mile route)

Sat Feb 25th -
Royal Marsden Sutton to Royal Marsden Chelsea (13.1 mile route)

Sun Mar 19th -
Reading half marathon (13.1 miles)

Fri Mar 24th - One Cabot Square round trip via Arsenal FC and Royal Marsden Chelsea (20 miles)

Other than Reading, each of the places above have a connection to Kim or me, so I'm looking forward to plenty of support at some of these places.

Thank you for any support you can offer.
