I shall be running the Leeds 10k Run For All on Sunday 22 June 2008, along with former World Darts Champion Steve Beaton.

The charity I'm running for will be Jane's Appeal, whom I previously ran the Leeds half marathon for a few years ago and the charity raises money for a great cause in Cancer Research and Cancer Care in memory of a remarkable person.

This year I've been personally affected by someone close having cancer and this has made me even more determined to raise more money and I thank you for whatever donation you can make, small or large. Every penny will make a difference.

UPDATE 16 JUNE - Thank you to everyone who's donated so far, and for the added incentives! I've managed to raise almost £500 already offline and a big thanks for all your donations.

Preparations for the run have gone well and both myself and Steve are really looking forward to Sunday!

UPDATE 22 JUNE - DONE IT!!! My aim was to beat the hour, and I did it, officially in 59:16 but with a minute stood still through the start line. Brilliant day, loved it and delighted to achieve my goal.
Thanks again to everyone for your support, encouragement (ha!) and donations...you kept me going through the hills and breathless times!
